A FANTASTIC QUARTARARO FINISHES FIFTH THE PTT THAILAND GRAND PRIX
The new Chang International Circuit does not frighten the MB Conveyors-Speed Up Racing team’s rider Fabio Quartararo who finished fifth in the first Grand Prix of Thailand. From the beginning of the race the young French fought not to miss the leading group. He lost a couple of positions on the second lap but after six laps he was already fifth. With tenacity and determination, he repelled the attacks from behind and sealed the fifth place with a fantastic performance.
The performance of Edgar Pons was also impressive. After a start that penalized him and brought him twenty-seventh, Pons did not give up and fought until the last lap finishing his first race with the MB-Conveyors-Speed Up Racing team at the nineteenth place.
FABIO QUARTARARO#20 – 5th
“A fairly positive race. I had to fight a lot, especially at the beginning so as not to lose the leading group.
I struggle in the early laps cause the feeling with the bike was good and I managed to overtake even aggressive that is what I missed from some races. The fifth place in this new circuit is definitely a good result and we are satisfied with how we are working!”
EDGAR PONS#57 – 19th
“It is not the result we wanted, but I am happy with this first Grand Prix with the MB Conveyors-Speed Up Racing team and above all I am happy to have finished this race because we have collected important data on my way to ride this bike and they will be very useful for the next races. I’m sure that in Japan it will be better! Once again, I thank the team for the work done, see you in Japan!”
